Tom Battaile serves as our Stormwater Program Manager and Senior Engineer, bringing over a decade of expertise in stormwater management and engineering consulting. With a strong foundation in the development, management, and implementation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Tom plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with California's Construction General Permit for Stormwater Discharges (CGP).
Tom leads Bancroft Construction Services' engineering consulting staff and oversees Qualified SWPPP Developers (QSDs), Practitioners (QSPs), and Best Management Practice (BMP) Inspectors. His extensive experience includes contractor SWPPP training, stormwater runoff sampling training, and project management for the Stormwater Multiple Application and Report Tracking System (SMARTS).
Certified and licensed in multiple areas, Tom holds credentials as a Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality (CPSWQ), Qualified SWPPP Developer/Practitioner (QSD/P), and Construction General Permit Trainer-of-Record (CGP ToR). His certifications and hands-on experience enable him to provide comprehensive stormwater consulting services for various high-profile clients, including Southern California Edison (SCE), Caltrans, and the Port of Long Beach.
Tom's contributions extend to program development and training. He has successfully developed an in-house inspector training program and provided oversight for numerous construction projects, ensuring rigorous compliance and effective stormwater management.
Outside of his professional life, Tom enjoys traveling, mountain backpacking, and rock climbing, pursuits that reflect his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors.
