Our team of 3 Qualified SWPPP Developers (QSDs) uses their knowledge and experience along with the following approach to develop an effective SWPPP and protect downstream receiving waters for our clients’ proposed projects:
1. Request the necessary project information from the client, including contact information for responsible parties (LRP, AS, QSD, QSP, etc.),
2. Calculate the project risk level by considering project location, size, type, duration, soil and slope characteristics, and downstream receiving water bodies,
3. Review and outline CGP requirements and other applicable local, state, and federal regulations for the project type and risk level,
4. Examine the project schedule and construction plans to anticipate the condition of the project site and prescribe appropriate and optimal BMPs for each phase of construction,
5. Identify stormwater flow paths and potential pollutants associated with construction activities to determine applicable BMPs, monitoring locations, and spill prevention and response procedures,
6. Provide cost-effective SWPPP and BMP implementation strategies to meet the CGP requirements and other applicable regulations,
7. Include CASQA BMP Fact Sheets with instructions for BMP installation and maintenance, a copy of the CGP, and personnel certifications,
8. Prepare the required Permit Registration Documents (PRDs) for submittal to SMARTS with the Notice of Intent (NOI).
Our team of 5 Qualified SWPPP Practitioners (QSPs) is well versed in the CGP requirements for monitoring, reporting, and record-keeping and experienced on both traditional and linear underground/overhead projects (LUP) with various risk levels and complexities. Bancroft has developed its own SWPPP Implementation and QSP Training Program that allows our team to effectively conduct the required monitoring and provide timely, consistent, and accurate reports to our clients. The program addresses the following topics:
