Roderick Webber Jr.

Roderick Webber Jr. is the Safety Manager at Bancroft Construction Services, bringing over 20 years of expertise in Environmental Compliance, Environmental Health and Safety Management (EHS), and Human Resource Management (HRM). With a comprehensive background that includes leading cross-functional teams and managing assets valued at over $400 million, Roderick is recognized for his exceptional leadership, reliability, and ability to influence and mentor his colleagues and subordinates.

In his role at Bancroft, Roderick implements a robust safety program encompassing policies, procedures, and training to ensure regulatory compliance and safeguard employees from workplace hazards. He conducts regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate safety risks, investigates workplace incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions, and provides ongoing safety training to educate employees on potential risks and emergency response protocols. His proactive approach to safety management includes developing emergency response plans, providing specialized training for handling hazardous materials, and promoting a culture of safety through open communication and recognition of safe behaviors.

Before joining Bancroft, Roderick served as an Environmental Health & Safety Manager for the United States Marine Corps, where he ensured the safety and health of 20,000 service members and civilians across multiple locations. Utilizing LEAN Six Sigma methodologies, he led numerous improvement initiatives, managed equipment and facility inventories, and provided extensive training and guidance on safety policies and regulations. His experience also includes roles as Lead Environmental Compliance Manager and Safety Specialist, where he conducted regional-level audits, identified and reported compliance deficiencies, and advised executive management on corrective actions.

Roderick holds an OSHA 10/30 Hour Safety Card, a LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt, and several other certifications, including HAZWOPER-40 and CPR/AED/First Aid. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from the University of Charleston, WV, further enhancing his knowledge and skills in leadership and safety management.
