Bancroft Construction Services provided comprehensive desert tortoise protection and monitoring services for a major transportation infrastructure project along Interstate 15 West, ensuring full compliance with federal Endangered Species Act requirements and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service protocols. Our team installed approximately 4,500 linear feet of permanent desert tortoise exclusion fencing along the I-15 corridor to provide long-term habitat protection and prevent wildlife-vehicle conflicts. Additionally, we deployed 8,400 linear feet of temporary desert tortoise fencing to protect sensitive areas during active construction, which was systematically removed upon project completion. Throughout the entire duration of construction activities, our certified biological monitors conducted daily desert tortoise surveys and on-site monitoring to ensure no incidental take of this federally threatened species occurred. This rigorous compliance program demonstrated our expertise in managing sensitive species protection on high-profile transportation projects while maintaining construction schedules and meeting all regulatory obligations under Section 7 consultation requirements and applicable biological opinions.
